Kroger 200 Busch Series Race Sat 5 Aug

Images from the Navy's presence at the Kroger 200 Busch Series Race during Indy Navy Week on Saturday 5 August These images by MCC Gary Ward of NAVCO were taken during the opening ceremonies as Sailors from NOSC Indy, and the NRD unfurled a huge 90' x 45' National Ensign on the main straightaway while the NSA Crane color guard presented the colors, HM1 Angela Downing of NSA Crane sang the National Anthem and two Navy F/A 18's roared overheard. The reaction of the crowd made it clear that the Navy was the the star of the show in Indy on Saturday night. Click on image for larger view.
